Two-vehicle accident results in three deaths

Posted on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016

Three individuals lost their lives during a two-vehicle collision in Athens, Alabama on Sunday, August 28.

According to the preliminary report of Trooper James Rice, one of the victims was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Impala southbound on a 45 mile-per-hour road along Reid Road shortly before 12:00 a.m. when his vehicle crashed into a northbound 2008 Chevrolet.

The Impala overturned and came crashing down in a ditch, facing north, while the other vehicle spun from the impact and came to rest in the same ditch. Rice later noted, “There were no brake or skid marks on the roadway.” Both the driver of the Impala and his passenger were declared dead at the scene while one passenger in the other car died later in the hospital.

Our deepest thoughts go out to the victims of this tragic accident and their loved ones. Our attorneys with Pohl & Berk, LLP are deeply sympathetic to families that have to face such heartache and we implore you to not go through the process alone.
