Woman killed when tractor-trailer crashes into her house

Posted on Wednesday, October 15th, 2014

Sixty-six-year-old Donelson, Tennessee resident Carol Boo perished during the early morning hours of October 8 after a tractor-trailer carrying 40,000 pounds of pumpkins left the highway along McGavock Pike, crashed into her brick house, and wrecked her bedroom, The Tennessean reported on October 8.

The police said Boo had been sleeping in her bed at around 3:30 a.m. when the truck crashed into her bedroom, killing her instantly.

Boo’s husband and her son, who each had been sleeping in other rooms in the house, were not hurt in the incident.

The truck driver, identified as 34-year-old Nashville resident Leonard Wilson, did not appear to be intoxicated or impaired in any way and so was not charged at the scene. However, police authorities noted that his story may not be corroborated by evidence, and he could be charged in the future. Wilson claimed the trailer began wobbling on the road and he lost control of the vehicle.
